Hi , I have a Transalp xl700va 2009 since 2009.
It's a brilliant motorbike! No issues at all. There is one thing that is VERY important: The splined sprocket tends to wear out easily. If it wears out completely, the entire engine has to be replaced.
To avoid this issue, some manufacturers use a special reinforced sprocket that reduces or prevents wear.
If you are buying a used motorcycle, make sure to carefully check the condition of the sprocket.
(This is a manufacturing defect.) I invite you to do a deep research regarding that. This is the website where I've bought the sprocket.
